Our First For Women Experience!
So... we've been hiding something. We were contacted in July by First For Women Magazine to style a photo shoot. First For Women Magazine! A magazine that is seen all over! The shoot was for Rachel Miller, a gorgeous local woman who was being featured in an article about her incredible weight loss journey. We, of course, accepted the job! We had so much fun working with Rachel Miller and our all lady team of hair and makeup and photographer. The end result speaks for itself. Rachel ended up in the magazine wearing a form fitting, faux wrap dress in cobalt blue and black patent leather heels we chose. What do you think?

Alexis' Makeup Essentials

I am a girl that loves the natural, glowy look, and have been using the same products for almost a decade to achieve it. First thing's first, your skin's condition is most important, so drinking lots of water, regular exfoliating, and moisturizing are the basis to my regime. Now, onto the good stuff!
1. I have sworn by Mary Kay's Concealer since I was 15 and started wearing makeup. It provides the perfect amount of coverage without caking.
2.-4. I have been using Bare Escentuals foundation and mineral veil for well over a decade. I also use the kabuki brush to apply both. I love the natural look they all provide, and I get compliments on my complexion whenever I'm out. I'm too afraid to switch to anything else!
5. I love the way that Sephora's Fuchsia Glace blush looks, it has a little sparkle, giving me a nice, natural flushed look.
6. I swear by highlighters! I use it on the tops of my cheeks, inner eyes, and just below my brow line to give a glowy look, and by using it in those areas, you automatically look like you're wide awake, even if you pulled an all nighter!
7. EOS lip balm is my savior. I am a chap-stick-aholic, and this little egg of a lip balm gives me the moisture I need daily, and doesn't dry my lips out. The mint is my absolute fave!
8. I use Sephora's light brown, shimmery shadow in Tiramisu to give my eyes a slight smoky look, but it never looks overdone.
9. I don't spend a lot of money on mascara, and Maybelline has always been good to me. I love the plump look this mascara gives my lashes, I use the Very Black color.
10. Smashbox is hands down my go to lip gloss. I love the color, and that it stays without being a pest. I've kissed many a guy with this, and have received no complaints! ;)
